Selvampathy lake is located on the western portion of the
Coimbatore town downstream to the Maruthamalai forest and North to the Noyyal
river also it is the third water body in the linkage of lakes in the northern
catchment which falls under core corporation limits of Coimbatore city. With
having spread of over of 47.2 acres this lake is connected with krishnampathy
in the upstream. In the downstream it is connected to Kumarasamy,
Selvachinthamani, Periyakulam, Valankulam and Singanallur lake eventually
joining into the noyyal river on the south of the city.
